Set in the teeming city of Mumbai, Pursuit- Drawn by Destiny by Pooja Poddar Marwah is the story of two people who were already in love without knowing each other. It is their journey towards each other.

Let’s begin with the gorgeous cover. It tells a story in itself with its swirls and colors. Just beautiful.

Now coming to the plotline, the book starts with Kate. Kate has recurring dreams about a pair of eyes. She is unable to place them and starts falling for those eyes; desperate to find the person. One lucky day, in a work meeting, she meets Edward Scott. And guess what, he is the one!!

They become friends, then more than friends. But it’s not love they are getting into. Kate is hesitant whether Edward is the right choice, but what about those dreams? They surely meant something, right? Their story progresses and the moment something exciting is about to happen- the book ends. It’s a cliffhanger with promised twists and turns in the sequel.

Pursuit explores relationships; the ups and downs, the good and the bad. The book felt a bit unreal at some points, but it was nothing short of enjoyable. I did not felt bored or get the ‘it’s just a love story’ vibe at any point; because it was definitely more than that.

I really liked the characters, especially Edward. I loved his personality. Kate was relatable at innumerable moments. The book was written too well with amazing language.

I would say it will make an enjoyable one time read. I am excited about the sequel and where it will take our two characters.
