2023 has gone by and sizzled away like a dancing firework, a whirlpool of stardust, perhaps, if truth be told. Some amazing pieces of literature have been read this year. As 2024 approaches, here are the 20 most anticipated reads we cannot wait.

As we begin a fresh year, here’s to a fresher start and too many more brilliant worlds to dive into, fresher perspectives to delve into, and newer tales to read. Today, without taking you elsewhere, my dear Bibliophiles (a term I love peeps because it kind of sounds truly intoxicating!!), let me simply sizzle up the screen for you with incandescence, promising to splay the reading horizon in 2024.

The Husbands by Holly Gramazio

An exuberantly delightful debut, this sets out to explore how we navigate life, love, and choices in a world full of never-ending options. Imagine your attic creating an infinite supply of husbands. Coming to you on April 2, 2024.

Katabasis by R. F. Kuang

A Greek word meaning descent in the underworld narrative. Imagine a book that has magic, realism, and love all rolled into one. Boom, comes R. F. Kuang’s next, which, BTW, after “Yellowface” last year, which topped the charts, is one of the most anticipated books to watch out for. Some are saying this one will hit the stands not before 2025, though. I so hope they are wrong, for Pete’s sake!

The Empyrean by Rebecca Yarros

The third book in the installment, which follows Fourth Wing and Iron Flame, is being awaited with more than bated breath; I mean, one reader mentioned awaiting it like a dose of much-sought-after cocaine! So, I guess not much needs to remain to be said for this one, then… P.S. No release date is set for this one.
