Writing for Global Brands and Other Writings
Summary
Writing for Global Brands and Other Writings by A. Hari Prakash is a book
that talks about many things, teaches several things, brings light to many
points. All this, and I am really impressed, by being not preachy and boring.

Surprisingly, it was rather funny and pleasant.
Many readers don’t prefer reading non-fiction just because of the reason
that they don’t find it enjoyable. But trust me; this book was the total
opposite of the usual, despite its serious title. In the first half, the author shares his experiences and strategies that landed him writing for global brands. He also shares many tips and ideas for the reader. Next part is mainly about English. What mistakes content writers (and others too) make while writing; grammar, syntax etc. And as mentioned earlier, it is all written in a very frank and funny way. Next, there are three amazing very short stories, and at the end three mind-blowing art pieces by the author himself. I especially loved those drawings, as I hadn’t seen anything like that before.
Another thing I really liked was how at the end of each page there was a
quote or a fun question to brainstorm. The author also asks the readers to
send him some ideas on various topics, to be all collected in another book.
The book is not a long one; it took me just one sitting to complete it. I think
it is a must read for those who are stepping in the world of freelancing and
content writing.
