We Indians live in a humid kind of weather. Thus, it becomes quite challenging at times to pick up the right kind of beauty products keeping in mind the different kinds of issues we have as regards Indian skin, hair and beauty. Be it skin pigmentation or frizzy hair owing to the semi tropical nature of the weather, we are always trying to beat these obstacles to maintain that perfect hair, skin and so on. Fortunately, we have an array of products available in multiple brands suited to Indian women and their unique requirements.

Moisturizer

This is an absolute essential. Vital in order to keep your skin hydrated, maintain its pH levels  as well as keeping the pores clean whilst fighting acne and pimples. I personally prefer Mama earth because it has a non greasy formula and is absolutely gorgeous on my skin. There are other good options too such as the ones from Olay, Neutrogena, Biotique and so on. Preferably, use one with an SPF 30 to protect your skin from sun damage. Preferably apply moisturizer on damp, clean skin to let it work its best wonder.

Kajal/Eye Liner

A sure shot item which only differs in terms of brand presence in each of our bags. Be it Faces, Lakme or Maybelline an Eyeliner/Kajal not only sharpens your features and overall look but also gives your face the defination it needs. A must have beauty product, which we all will swear by!!. My fail safe go to brand here remains the Lakme Iconic Kajal with its superb coverage and finish.

Lipstick/Lip Balm

We all probably carry more than one of these at all point of times. Although, a Lipstick is different from a Lip Balm as the former is necessarily not hydrating or nourishing as the latter for the lips. Alongside the usual, Forest Essentials, Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm is also quite popular. However, in the budget range, Baby Lips is a prominent name.

As far as Lipsticks go, we are lucky to be spoilt for choice. From Satin finish to long wear, Matte, Glossy, Creamy, Moisturizing to transfer resistant, Lip Plumpers and Crayons, the market is flooded. Maybelline, Revlon, Faces, Lakme, Lotus herbals, Inglot, Avon, Nivea Rimmel many such brands rule the lipstick platform. My personal favourite is Maybelline though I wouldn’t mind Loreal as well as MAC too albeit they get a little steeper sometimes on the pocket.

Sunscreen

An absolute indispensable because, hey, we don’t want that tan ya!!! Re’equil is one of my absolute go to in this category. Its gel like finish makes it comfortable to wear on my skin. Basically sunscreens contain an SPF of 20 to 35 are best suited for Indian skin types. Depending on the kind of skin you have you have to select the type of the sunscreen. Prominent names also include Wow Skin Science, Mamaearth, La Shield, Lacto Calamine and many others.

Face Wash

Because whatever you do and wherever you go, cleanliness is important. A handy tube of your effective face wash can go a long way in transforming your looks. I mean come on guys, a clean face is the first essential of a good looking person !!

Himalaya, Lotus Herbals, Ponds, Kaya, Clean and Clear, Garnier are some noteworthy names here.
