Are you feeling low? Can’t take your mind off some gloomy things? To be honest, you are not the only one. What we all wish for in this upsetting time is something that brings a smile on our tensed up face. Something that will lighten up our pressured minds. In short, anything that can bring up a good laugh from wherever our humour is deeply buried. And all of us are not masters of this humongous task of creating humour, are we? Well, not to worry. We have some highly knowledgeable, extremely creative and funny minds among us. Mr Biswajit Banerji is one such person from this clan of sorrow-evading, joy-bringing warriors.

So, who is this person? He is a human being. Duh. (My take on something humorous.  You see, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea)

Whatever, let’s get back on the question (honestly)

Biswajit Banerji is the author of the book ‘Happimess’. The name itself brings a smile on our faces, doesn’t it? He works in a Public Sector Steel Unit and does an even great job with his humorous writings and driving us into fits of laughter. His writing style is such that you can’t not smile throughout the read. I wrote a review on Happimess sometime back, and you should definitely check that out if you want to know more about the book.

The poster of the book challenges you, “Try not to laugh or giggle. You’ll be happy to fail.” I don’t know about anyone else, but I didn’t last a single page. You need to have some serious supernatural powers to win this. I am saying so because the stories are based around the spheres of life each and every one of us is acquainted with very well. And to read them in such a hilarious manner is simply amazing. So all the best for the challenge, though I think I am aware of the results.

This satire masterpiece will drive you into peals of laughter and everyone around you as they witness you shaking uncontrollably. That’s what we need in life, don’t we? For us to be happy and ever-laughing (I don’t know if it’s a word, though I hope you understand). You deserve to be happy all the time and this collection of thirteen short stories deserves you giving it a try. What bigger excuse a reader needs to read a book?

Be safe. Be happy. Read Happimess. Spread Happiness
