Have you watched Wakanda Forever yet? Nope? So, which of the six best Hollywood movies of 2022 have you seen recently? You must check out the list we have compiled for you today so that you do not miss out on the best of 2022.

How are you all, my pretty Poppins, my crunchy munchkins? Wondering what’s wrong with me today? Pammi Aunty (the city’s biggest bully and gossip monger, ya!) has infiltrated my spirit, hehe! Actually, no, it’s the end of the year, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m in complete bliss. I had to take a moment and continue my tradition of sharing the EOY lists of the best, and thus, in succession, here are the 6 best Hollywood movies of 2022.

So, 2022 is drawing to a close. A year that was vague yet so strangely luminescent, I’d say. What with it teaching us how to glide through the gloom, bravely navigate the pandemic, and finally see the tail of it? (Oh, I fervently hope so!) Returning to life, or, as we call it, “the new normal,” has been difficult, hasn’t it?

Nonetheless, I must say that we were extremely fortunate in terms of great cinema being made available for viewers to watch in order to alleviate some of the gloom and despair that seemed to have become a permanent fixture of sorts in our lives as a result of the pandemic. From Hollywood to Bollywood, 2022 has been a fantastic year, with some incredible films being produced for the enjoyment of the public. So, then, what are we waiting for? Christmas! Well, BTW, it is already around the corner, so let us dive straight into a list of the 6 best Hollywood movies of 2022:

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

The sequel to Black Panther is the 30th movie in the Marvel cinematic universe, in which the leaders of Wakanda fight to protect their nation in the wake of King T’challa’s death. An intelligent political thriller, this one had moving personal performances. Primarily a meditative film at heart, this one speaks of loss and grief. In addition, there is a moving and spectacular tribute to Chadwick Boseman and the legacy of Black Panther.

Top Gun and Maverick

The comeback of old-school heroes and heroism by way of a sequel that is super dope as far as thrills are concerned. Revolving around Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, who must return to Top Gun as an instructor to train top pilots, his new position also forces him to confront his past and an overwhelming sense of guilt that has tied him down for decades. For me, at 59 years of age, Tom Cruise bringing back that heroism was all about the flashy bravado of the original while raising the emotional stakes in this one. With spectacular aerial stunts, nostalgia, drama, and nail-biting action, this was a movie made for the theatre!

Turning Red

A Pixar production, this one is beautiful, animated, funny, warm-hearted, and all things brilliant at once. A daring, brazenly hormonal PG film that will immediately fill the lives of all those awkward teenagers crawling out of their childhood cocoons with a jumble of mystified awakenings and sexual feelings. Certainly a triumphant and thematic homecoming for the Pixar company, as well as carrying multiple hues of superhero tales, this one has personal memories and loving insights slathered all over it. Flickering with a bright feminine spirit, this one feels refreshing and new, as well as unapologetically rebellious.

The Banshees of Inisherin

Spellbinding men went the wrong fable, a brilliant music score, and evocative cinematography toggle this one between supreme comedy and tragedy, realism, and a fable. This is a sublime Irish folktale of friendship that turns feud that manages to be both in the moment and timeless. Ferociously dark and funny, this one is also Colin Farrell’s best performance to date. Moving towards a haunting finale, this one takes on ambiguity as well as the fanciful gruesomeness of a folk tale, altogether making for a riveting experience from start to finish. A wry tragicomedy!

Fall

A fantastic survival thriller with heart-pounding intensity. A “lives in peril” thriller, it delivers potent, edge-of-the-seat suspense and experience. There is tension as well as adrenaline build-up in this one, which is cinematic as well as vertiginously exciting. Hey, don’t you look down? So, if you’re afraid of heights, just in case, you may perceive this one as a straightforward horror instead of a thriller. The story follows Hunter as she convinces her best friend Becky to move past her grief and join her in a deadly new adventure that takes on a disastrous turn. This is not for the faint of heart!

Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio

This stop-motion animated musical fantasy reimagines Pinocchio’s story while taking place in fascist Italy during World War II. A true labour of love, this passionate project took a decade to be made, beginning tumultuously in 2008. Although it shines, offering a unique blend of CGI and live action, there are many souls attached here, providing viewers with a brilliant cinematic experience. With a fantastic cast, gorgeous visuals, and a dazzling script, this one surely started off strong with the wooden marker, making it an amazing one. a visual stunner that embraces its source material’s darkness. And this, I tell you is one of my favourite Hollywood Movies
