Book review of The Jade Blue by Shobha Nihalani
An exciting and alluring read that will make your heart race with anticipation.
In the background of ancient artifacts, the book The Blue Jade by Shobha Nihalani is a story of Neelam and Meerabai. And both of them are weirdly connected to each other by a very ancient and precious stone Blue Jade. Neelam and Meerabai. And both are strangely interconnected by a very ancient and precious Blue Jade stone; if fallen into wrong hands, it can be a disastrous affair. And before it gets too late Neelam must race against the time and unknown time foes, to find the rightful place for the blue jade.
What a page-turner it is!!!
Though it was a little sluggish at the beginning, as I moved further along the thirty pages or so the story turned for better and I was plunged into the smuggling world of Ancient Artefacts. What’s more, Shobha Nihalani’s nail-biting narrative was a total un-put-downable. Every turn of the page brought upon the unexpected perils that kept me on the edge of the sofa throughout.
Kudos to the author Shobha Nihalani, she is a force to reckon with. Her art of storytelling is precise and ensnaring. I say that because she knows exactly how to ensnare her readers into the web of words. Words that are beautifully strung together by her vivid imagination that compels us to read.
Whilst reading this book The Blue Jade by Shobha Nihalani, I felt that this book had a very Dan Brownish quality to it. Ancient history smoothly transitioned into the present fictional story revolving around the jade blue stone. It was simply brilliantly done!
I kind of had surmised already in the beginning about who the real culprit was, though there many, yet it was the only loose thread that should have been strung tight into the story. In the end, The Jade Blue by Shobha Nihalani is a book that proves to be a thrilling adventurous ride from Hong Kong to Across India. I highly recommend this book and, give it an almost solid 5 on 5.
