So, with 2023 here, I cannot wait to list and bookmark the most anticipated English films releasing, and I thought of sharing my bookmarks with you all too today.

Yay, 2023 is finally here, and I couldn’t be happier! A new year, a fresh new start, lots of new, amazing content, and most importantly, the best possible ensemble I could have hoped for as far as entertainment is concerned.

So, to get right to the point, some of the most anticipated films are on the way, including much-anticipated sequels like “Creed III,” “Spiderman: Across the Spider-verse,” and “Dune: Part Two,” as well as many exciting new ones like “Cocaine Bear,” “Megan,” “65,” “True Love,” and even Great Gerwig’s “Barbie.” Wait, did I mention “Ishazam” and “John Wick”? I’ve got your attention now, don’t I?

So, here is a list of the 25 most anticipated English films releasing in 2023, from Shazam to John Wick and many more:

Infinity Pool

The plot revolves around a wealthy, madly in-love couple who are having a great time at an all-inclusive resort until they realise there is something seductively dangerous beyond the resort’s walls. With a stellar cast and a spirited, zealous theatrical release by Neon, this one is well worth the wait. Release date: January 27th, 2023

Winnie the Pooh-Blood and Honey

A beloved, cute little bear who somehow becomes homicidal after his best friend leaves for college, this one is a horror bibelot. Ok, one word of caution: there is nothing reminiscent of childhood or anything sweet with this one (imagine this one actually begins after Pooh and Piglet have eaten Eeyore out of hunger); this one is superbly uncanny. The film will be released on February 15, 2023.

Return to Seoul

A restless and riveting, highly unpredictable adoption drama, this one covers a span of 8 years and is high on self-possessed violence, where the heroine wears the story upon herself sharply, like a taut sinew, camouflaged with much more. Disorienting right from the start, mark this one if you wish to get a bit disembodied. It hits on February 17th after a one-week qualifying run in December.

Creed III

The story of a fighter who has nothing to lose When Creed’s career and family life are thriving, a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy resurfaces, and the ultimate showdown will be much more than just a fight. Although slated for a November 2022 release, this one will be out on March 3, 2023.

Scream VI

In a twist of sorts, this one in the series moves away from California, taking the terror of the Ghostface right to the Big Apple. A befitting resurrection of a dormant franchise, the story includes the four survivors of the original Ghostface killing attempt who leave Woodsboro behind for a fresh start. Spooky dudes!

Shazam: Fury of the Gods

The film continues the story of teenage Billy Batson, who, upon reciting the magic word “Shazam,” gets transformed into his adult superhero alter ego, Shazam. This being one of my most anticipated, I hope this one also prevents the hierarchy of power in the DC universe from changing again. hitting screens on March 17th, 2023.

John Wick-Chapter 4

An American neo-noir action film, this is the fourth instalment in the series, with Keanu Reeves reprising his role as the titular character John, who discovers a way to defeat the High Table. But before he can earn his freedom, he must face off against a new enemy who has powerful alliances across the globe and also faces forces that turn old friends into foes. Arriving March 24th

Renfield

Bram Stoker’s vampire is being given a new twist by the one and only Nicholas Cage. In this one, a comedic look at Dracula’s number one henchman is played by Nicholas Hoult. The film follows Reinfeld as he fathoms what life would be like without serving his dark master. This upcoming American horror company is based on Robert Kirkman’s original idea. On April 14, 2023, you will be frightened.

Mafia Mamma

This one follows an American woman who inherits her grandfather’s mafia empire in Italy. Defying everyone’s expectations, meet the new head of the family business. Not to forget her awesome crime partner, her consigliere who guides her. The brilliant venture will be released on April 14, 2023.

Evil Dead Rise

The newest in the Evil Dead series, this one explores what happens when normal people raise the dead. Growing more unwieldy over time, this one is a real scream. The release date is set for April 21, 2023.

Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman

An adaptation from some of Murakami’s work, this one already premiered to positive responses last year in the circuits and will definitely increase Murakami’s presence big time, having been adapted from some of his brilliantly written short stories. The film will be released in April 2023.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Could it have gotten bigger? The perfect closure to the trilogy, this Marvel creation couldn’t have come at a better time than May, and with Disney making it, it will be a rocker for sure! Coming on May 5, 2023.

Fast X

With director Louis Leterrier of “The Incredible Hulk” fame filling in the final chapters of Dominic Toretto’s family saga, this is sure to bring back some of the excitement of the “Fast & Furious” saga. Zooming across on May 19, 2023

The Little Mermaid

Bob Marshall’s take on the iconic mermaid is another of Disney’s ventures into bringing their most beloved animated characters to life. With singer Halle Bailey stepping into the role of Ariel, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Jacob T as Flounder, and Awkwafina as Scuttle, I want to watch this so badly! Swimming its way to us on May 26th, 2023.

Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse

Promising to be bigger and much better, akin to a kaleidoscope of awesomeness, this one has Miles Morales teaming up with a wide array of Peter Parkers to save the multiverse from a mysterious villain known as The Spot. God, you guys don’t even need to have the details for this one; I mean, it’s Spiderman, for Pete’s sake! swarming his way to us on June 2, 2023.

Strays

A Lord and Miller film, an adult-action animated comedy about an abandoned dog who joins forces with other stray dogs to exact revenge on his former owner, this one should be on your list for some incredible animation and action, not to mention the comedy guys! wooing away on June 9th, 2023.

Elemental

A concept story of love and friendship that forms between a girl born and made of fire and a guy made of water. A metaphoric yet modern fairy tale, this one, although a bit cliched, is surely a brilliant one you should bookmark. coming on June 16th, 2023.

A romance featuring some of the best in the industry, including Tom Hanks, this one takes place in a fictional American desert town in 1955. God, am I excited for this one or what with its otherworldly feeling? zooming towards us on June 16th, 2023.

Okay, guys, pay attention: this is possibly the final chapter in Indiana’s story, complete with a revamped Harrison Ford, a suppa mystery, and a lot more on its platter. Clocking in on June 30th, 2023.

Plane

An insanely amazing story about a tough guy played by Gerard Butler who finds himself and a bunch of weirdos in a situation on a plane where he needs to fight out of a huge issue. With awesome cinematography, I am super stoked to experience this one, guys. flying its way towards you on January 13th, 2023.

Ant-Man and the Wasp, Quantumania

Knock at the Cabin

In M. Night Shyamalan’s next, a couple’s woodsy vacation with their young daughter turns haywire as some characters show up at their door, claiming that the world will end if they don’t make the “ultimate sacrifice.” I won’t say any more; catch this, you guys, on February 3rd, 2023.

Missing

Are you a fan of “Searching”? Then here is its appropriate sequel for you. With a superb plot, albeit kept under wraps, this one still shares a lot in common with its predecessor in the form of its editors and writers, and you have to be excited. coming on January 20, 2023.

Skinamarink

A festival sensation that became so popular through word of mouth that it had to be made into a theatrical release, this is a hardcore micro-budget freaking horror debut that feels uncannily similar to staring right out of the final shot of “The Blair Witch Project,” coming on January 13th, 2023.
