Interview

1. What prompted you to write this book ‘You’re much bigger than my Dreams’?

During my college days, I used to make short films. One day while I was narrating a short film story to a friend of my mine. He casually suggested that I should write a book on this story. That thought kept running in my mind. And that’s how I started writing my book when I was in second year of my college and finished it by my final year

2. Did you ever consider writing under a pseudonym?

No. I always wanted to see my name on my book You’re Much Bigger than my Dreams.

3. Do you think someone could be a writer if they don’t feel emotions strongly?

Yes. I guess it depends on the genre he writes. End of day, if the author is connected to his story, I feel that’s more than enough.

4. As a writer, what would you choose as your mascot/avatar/spirit animal?

A tiger cub, who’s still learning the skills to write(or hunt maybe)

5. How do you select the names of your characters?

When I started writing, I made sure my character names are unique. I researched lot of names on Google. And finally, I created a name on my own for my Female protagonist – Syahirah.

6. Do you read your book reviews? How do you deal with bad or good ones?

Yes. Definitely.
So far I’ve received good reviews. And some suggestions from my readers. Good or Bad, I’m open to both though. I don’t expect everyone to like my book.

7. Do you Google yourself?

Haha. Yes. I’ve been doing that ever since I launched my book.8. If you had to do something differently as a child or teenager to become a better writer as an adult, what would you do?
I’d work on my creative writing skills. Read more books on how to write a book. And I’ll try to gain, a genuine reader base gradually through Social Media.

9. What one thing would you give up to become a better writer?

I’d give up my over-thinking mind.

10. What is the most unethical practice in the publishing industry?

Until now, I haven’t seen any. So I don’t think I can answer this question yet.
