Isn’t it amazing getting married to someone just Isn’t it amazing getting married to someone just by looking at their picture?

The Picture Bride is a story of dreams, love, new life and struggle.

This is my first Korean fiction. I must tell you that it was an amazing experience reading about their culture. There is a lot of similarity amongst our cultures. Remember back in the older times, Picture Brides was a concept in our country too?

This is a book I would recommend to beginners since it is an easy and fast read and very interesting too.

You can find this and many more books for beginners and best sellers too at Amazon.in- a perfect place for readers to discover and buy their books at one place.

Yes, the god of Indian poetry, Gulzar Saab.

It was a surreal, out of the body kind of feel I experienced whilst listening to him. His rendition of that poem, the smooth flawless baritone, I mean I completely know this is a one in a lifetime kind of feeling guys!

I had a lump in my throat when I realized I was listening to the ghazal maestro of all time!!

The ambience, the beauty of the shamiana, the complete decor and even the weather for that matter was all in a mesmerized spell…

Tell me, you guys, what happens when you bring a p Tell me, you guys, what happens when you bring a productive, sustainable perspective to the table while delivering in your profession and also create a superb takeaway from it akin to a catalyst from which many can take inspiration? killer combination, right?

What prompted me to consider such complex theories today? Broken Anvils by Rohith Agarwal, a book that brought forth the plight as well as the personal status of shipyard workers, provides readers with not only knowledge but also awareness.

Reading about Jeevan’s journey, a refreshing new perspective offering the story of how he comes a long way from home in search of work, how he proceeds, and what transpires along the journey, was a treat to read. Intense as well as inspiring, this one focuses on portraying the plight of those who work in compromised circumstances in an industry such as the shipbreaking yard, where the cost of their lives is simply as great as the fact that they have to supplicate the task of being able to fulfil their supervisors' needs. Despite being reduced to a rag doll and a vermin of sorts, the narrative focuses on a major issue in the form of how helplessness and need can initiate one to take extreme measures and succumb to their environment, regardless of how challenging it may be.

There was so much that Rohith managed to spruce up the plot with, such as mishaps, tragic turns, workplace ergonomics, drama, and more.

It was heartbreaking, moving, surreal, and yet eye-opening. It also shed light on sensitive topics that we are aware of but dare not acknowledge: workplace risks and what goes on in the minds of those who face such adversity. Reading about it is one thing, but going through and experiencing it is another story altogether. A brilliant, insightful read.

Contrarily, this book is written in such a way that you can even enjoy it with others, whether they be your soulmate, members of your family or friends, or even a total stranger you might decide to cross paths with someday.

This book, which also happens to be a personal favourite of mine, is kept there for a reason.

One of the best attempts ever made, in my opinion, by a writer to capture the true spirit of an ideal existence through their writing is the simplicity that yet so much of daily and etiquette.

There are certain novels you read and appreciate, and then there are others that you grow comfortable with and your soul sways with joy in. Conflict has ended.

Some books can sit unread for years, but you know Some books can sit unread for years, but you know they’ll find their way to you when you need them the most.

One of them was Markus Zusak’s novel The Book Thief.

It came to me when I had given up hope of ever reading another book again. Yes, this one got me out of my reading slump, and it did so in a big way!

I won’t say much because the quote I shared is sufficient proof of the type of book this is...

“I wanted to tell the book thief many things, about beauty and brutality. But what could I tell her about those things that she didn’t already know? I wanted to explain that I am constantly overestimating and underestimating the human race-that rarely do I ever simply estimate it. I wanted to ask her how the same thing could be so ugly and so glorious, and its words and stories so damning and brilliant.”

A big shoutout to @smokehousedeli for adding on to my reading experience with its out of the world ambience...

I had this feeling a lot during George R. R. Marti I had this feeling a lot during George R. R. Martin’s book, “The Game of Thrones,” because by the third book in the series, I was perplexed, and how!!

When our favourite characters are killed, we fans become befuddled.

We grow and breathe with them, and it’s simply not fair that they’re taken from us when we’ve learned to grow with them in the series.

Review: Nalanda: Until We Meet Again by Gautaam Bo Review: Nalanda: Until We Meet Again by Gautaam Borah

How about reading a romance that has also been tempered with elements of age-old mystery, a dash of politics as well as romance at the start of the New Year? Doesn't that sound fantastic?

Well, I thought likewise. Romance and mystery always make for a stellar combo. A tale that combines love, a mystery that dates back in time, and politics in a seamless manner results in a book as magnificent as Nalanda: Until We Meet Again by Gautaam Borah. A tale of romance shrouded in age-old mystery, wrapped in emotions that seamlessly splay themselves across the canvas.

Yes, I could actually picture Neil and Aanchal meeting up at Oxford University in my mind’s eye, their relationship evolving was something I enjoyed delving into, and what also caught my attention, winning brownie points for Gautaam as a writer, was the fact that the story has so much ease attached to it along with the thrill factor that once you begin reading it, it is difficult to put it away for another time. Having been compelled to devour it voraciously owing to its roller coaster gait, I must compliment Gautaam for managing to create a superb plot that is as enigmatic as it is enticing.

A tale of tangled fates, it was engaging in deciphering how their paths crossed. It became murky when Neil started having visions of his past life, which he did not recall at all. If you ask me, one superb element of suspense is added here.

A well-formulated tale ends on a cliffhanger, with the reader gasping for more and the narrative itself engaging enough to keep one hooked for hours. I just cannot wait for the next in the series. I am surely awaiting the next one, not only to find out how the story will proceed but also to indulge in some more of Gautaam’s brilliant writing. Simplistic writing, albeit done tastefully.
